Our Story

Founded in 1989, King’s Castle Ministries purposed to raise up an army of young, Spirit-filled warriors who would invade Latin America with the simple message that “Jesus saves and is coming soon.” Today, that vision has expanded to dozens of countries throughout the world. In El Salvador and Nicaragua, the countries to which my wife Terri and I are appointed, we are witnesses to a mighty move of God as He pours out His Spirit to anoint this generation who will usher in the return of His son, Jesus Christ. Working hand-in-hand with the local church, thousands of young men and women are giving their lives for the cause of global evangelism in the various aspects of the ministry.

Steve & Kim Sobey

  • Steve and Kim serve as Directors of Ministry Development and Directors of US Relations for King's Castle Ministries in El Salvador. Steve also continues to oversee the ministry in Nicaragua as Executive Director for King’s Castle Nicaragua. In 2016, Steve was elected to serve as President for the International Association of King’s Castle Ministries. He was recently reelected to continue serving in that capacity. King's Castle Ministries is now established in 35 countries and continues to grow. We are believing for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit as the Lord uses this ministry to reach and raise up the next generation.

    The Sobeys were approved as World Missionaries in 2006. They have lived in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and now El Salvador since 2019.

    Steve graduated from Central Bible College with a degree in Children’s Ministries and worked at the AG National Office in the Children’s Ministry Agency before entering into missions.

    Kim grew up in missions and full-time ministry. She was part of the first King’s Castle team! She is the middle daughter of Don and Terri Triplett. Kim is a graduate of Master’s Commission in Phoenix, Arizona. She also earned degrees in Bible from Central Bible College and Communications from Evangel University.

    Steve and Kim have four kids: Andre, Sofia, Caleb, and Emma.

Bailey Hendricks

  • My name is Bailey Hendricks, and I am a Missionary Associate serving with King’s Castle in El Salvador. I first came here with my church in 2018 for two weeks, and the Lord began chiseling at my heart. I returned for the two month internship in 2019, and that summer is where I fully surrendered the call to GO. I am not my title; I am simply someone saved through grace who wants to tell the world about Jesus.

Nathan & Sarah Franklin

  • We are the Franklins, and we are so happy to be joining the King’s Castle Ministries team. El Salvador and King's Castle Ministries has truly become part of our DNA over the past 8 years, having both served with teams and as Summer Interns. We are so excited to get to serve Jesus and His kids! Our hearts are burning for revival in this country, and our desire is for every person to come to know the love and saving power of Jesus.
